Agriculture

In the next Farm Bill, I will fight to ensure affordable crop insurance. We need an economic disaster assistance program that is equitable to all farmers and ranchers. I will support federal tax credits to establish startup meat packing plants to fight the four major monopolies.

Healthcare

I believe access to healthcare is a fundamental right. I support the Affordable Care Act, which has significantly reduced the number of uninsured in the country. I believe we can support reducing healthcare costs through delivery innovations and by fighting the continued rise in prescription drug costs.

Seniors

Protecting Social Security, Medicare, and rising prescription drugs for the long-term is a priority. Programs that support keeping Seniors in their homes add to quality of life. Our Seniors deserve nothing less.

Supporting the Family

I will advocate for policy that supports the family and those most vulnerable at all stages. Program such as Medicaid, the child tax credit, early childhood education, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), affordable childcare, school lunch program, SNAP, and other similar programs continue to support our most vulnerable in society.
